About the Bean
Straight from the highlands of Ethiopia’s Sidamo region, this Natural Grade 1 coffee from Alo Bensa is a standout. Grown at an impressive 2,100–2,280 meters above sea level, it’s the brainchild of Tamiru Tadesse, who took a bold leap by introducing coffee cultivation to this high-altitude area. The result? A 2021 Cup of Excellence winner that’s bursting with flavor.
Handpicked ripe cherries are naturally processed, drying on raised beds for about 21 days to unlock vibrant notes of blueberry, tropical fruit, and a floral sweetness. Sourced from the Bembe village, this coffee thrives in the fertile soils of the Great Rift Valley, delivering a juicy, complex cup with zero defects—true Grade 1 quality. Ideal for filter brewing, it’s a pure taste of Ethiopia’s coffee legacy.
